McDonald's is not a sponsor of this blog. What do you do with pizze and a cheese burger? Read on! |
But let's admit it. The ingredients they use in these fast food items are not of the highest quality. If you're like me you've also probably thought to yourself "if only place A combined things that Place B did, this could be the best thing ever!". Well today I did something about that! Behold! The Aloha Pizza Cheese Burger!
The name needs some work. I really tried to think of something better but got really stumped. Probably after eating too much trans fat.
Earlier today I was in the mall and passed by a fast food pizza giant. The place where you can get two slices for 55 Php. I love Aloha pizza. The chain calls it by some other name but I'm going to stick with Aloha for the purpose of this post. Bottomline, I love pineapple bits in my pizza.
But I was not done! No! I also passed by the McDonald's before getting out of the mall and I immediately had this epic idea. So I went and got myself their basic Cheese Burger.
Sad hamburger bun. Nobody's got time for that! |
As you can see, the bun on the Cheese Burger looks very sad. How can we make this better? Replace that with two slices of Aloha Pizza!
Here's how I did it. Pay close attention, this can be very complicated...
Ingredients:
2 slices of Aloha Pizza for 55 Php
1 McDonald's Cheeseburger (buy the meal, you might need the drink and fries)
Keep the paper wrapper for the burger
Optional: Salt, Pepper, More Cheese, Mustard, Mayonnaise (don't unless you're addicted), Steak Sauce (my girlfriend's suggestion)
Procedure:
Step 1: Take the burger out of the bun. Make sure to get all the fixings.
Step 2: But the burger (and fixings) in on top of one of the pizza slices
The deconstructed look is not pretty. So do this quickly. |
Step 3: Top it off with the other slice of pizza, make sure it is the toppings side down (as seen below)
There. Looks better now doesn't it? |
Step 4: Wrap it with the burger wrapper and enjoy!
The Verdict:
You know that this was going to be awesome. The pizza's not the best in the world and same goes for the burger. But together? Oh-my-God! The saltiness , surprisingly, is not overpowering. The acidity from the pizza sauce, the sweetness of the pineapple, the saltiness from the cheese, and what's not to love with McDonald's burger patties? Those flavors harmonize well with each other and you get bite-after-bit of just fast food heaven.
You have to try this to believe it! This was waiting to be done! Just imagine if these two chains collaborated to make this an actual item on one's menu? I'll be there everyday (then go straight to the gym or worse, the toilet).
Thank you for reading this post. Leave a comment if you've tried this yourself! Would love to hear that to know I'm not the only one obsessed with this awesomeness.
